Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis has said that the club should be focusing on finishing the job when they face Cheltenham Town in the final of the play-offs. It has been an amazing season for Crewe Alexandra after they made it into the final of the play-offs where they will be facing Cheltenham Town. However, their manager Steve Davis has said that their work is not over yet because they need to win the match in order to get into the League One. The club managed to squeeze themselves into the play-offs position after finishing in the sixth place just two points about the seventh position.

However, they have managed to make the most out of the opportunity to play in the play-offs after winning the semifinals against Southend United 3-2. It was an amazing victory over the club that finished in the third position meaning that they could use the momentum of the final few weeks of the campaign. Now, Steve Davies has said that they should use the same amount to get past Cheltenham Town, which could result in ultimate glory for the club. They will be promoted alongside Swindon town, Shrewsbury town, and Crawley town to the League One.

“We crept in the back door and were delighted just to be there. But, once we’d done that, we wanted to go all the way and finish the job. For it to come in their first season I hope they don’t think this is going to happen every season. Having said that, they’ve worked very hard for it. The lads did well in the first game and we knew it was going be different in front of a big crowd baying for something better. But, for us to come through is a fantastic achievement,” Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis said after the match.
